Young Adults in the Church Today
This issue of Catholic Update explores a question many pastors, parents, and parish leaders are asking: Why are so many young adults drawn to the beauty of the Mass and what can the Church learn from this attraction?
The newsletter examines why beauty has always been one of the Church's most powerful ways of drawing souls to Christ. It also considers how to welcome young adults into a deeper sense of belonging within the Body of Christ.
Ideal for pastors, catechists, youth and young adult ministers, parish councils, and any Catholic who longs to see the faith passed on with joy and conviction, Catholic Update offers both insight and encouragement.

Fr. Michael Hoang, CSsR, joined the Redemptorists in 2014 with priestly ordination in 2023. What attracted him to Redemptorist life was the feeling of joy in praying to God in community, and the fraternal brotherhood felt while doing ministry collaboratively. To Fr. Hoang, the call to live a life following in the footsteps of Jesus means persevering in charity and service, and to be a messenger of hope to a world that too often only highlights bad news. He prays that the witness of his life may bring about peace and hope to those in most need of it and asks for all to please pray for him as he counts himself among those poor and abandoned so in need of God’s Mercy.
